Meningites

Finally I have the time and energy to sit down and talk a bit to you.
I wasn't around for a while, it feels like more than a decade to me.
I'm struggling with my health and some day's all things are going well and other day's I can'get out of bed.
And than past week suddenly my 3yo wasn't feeling all that well.

July 18th & 19th
Chelsey isn;t feeling all that well and she don't want to do a thing, just wants o watch tv on our bed.

July 20th
The girls are going to there grandparents.
Chelsey don't want to eat or drink much.
In the afternoon she's running a fever.

July 21st
Chelsey is doing allright again, the fever is gone.
The girls and I are going out to the childrens farm to see the new born goats.
On tuesday's she was doing allright again, but she looked tired to me.
She was looking a bit tired to me so I put her to bed early.

July 22nd
Chelsey wakes up when Jeremy is going out to work, she's having a fever again and she passes out for a moment.

Jeremy put her down next to me and she falls back a sleep right away.
Around 7.00 she wakes up again and can't get up, she's shaking all over her little body and the fever is rising.
A half hour later she isn't responding anymore so I'm taking her to the doctor, she send her straight to the hospital.
After examin her they think she's a bit dehydrated and they are wanting to keep her in the hospital for a day, just to see how she's doing.

When we are settling in to her room things get worse and after a few hours they want to do a spinal marrow punction because they suspects that she's having meningitis.
The results come back within the hour and she's having meningitis.
We are shoked and I really was afraid when they told us, she was so sick at that time.
Right after the results came back they gave her a drip wih anibiotics and fluids.
One of us can stay in the hospital with her that night, so we decides that I'm going to stay with her.

July 23th
After waking up the next morning I just can't believe my eye's.
Chelsey is doing so much better, the fever is allmost gone and she is all awake again.
The paediatrician is stopping by and he say's that we are very lucky, Chelsey was diagnosed in such an early stage of meningites and she is responding very well to the antibiotis and fluid.

July 24th
After three day's in the hospital the final results of the spinal marrow punction come back and the pathogens (do I say it right in English like this?) was a virus, a mild virus and so she doesn't need antibiotics anymore and we can take her home early this evening.
We are sooooo happy!!

I'm so thankfull for the early diagnose, I know things could have ended so much more worse!!

Right now she's doing sooooo much better, she's still having a headache and she's a bit dizzy sometimes.
Now she can start processing this all, just like Jeremy and I.
In just afew day's things went from allright to worse and back to allright again.
And if I think about how things could have been, I'm full of gratefulness!

Just did my confession on the Scrappy Times Forum about my mojo!
It seemd I've lost it along the way, I haven't scrapped since the Scrappy Times Cybercrop and we had the crop right after easter!
So you can imagine I feel terribly lost now!!

I reorganized my stuff, that didn't help, I sat down and stare for hours to my pretty papers, embellies, tools, photo, everything, but it didn't brought me my mojo back!
So now I call up to you...: Have you seen my mojo???? If so leave me a comment and I will contact you to let you know where to send it to!!!!!

Brooklynn and me

Yesterday it was just Brooklynn and me in the afternoon and we had such a great time!!!
Jeremy took our oldest one to the amusement park and Brooklynn and I stayed at home.
I'm so tired lately and I wanted a nice and quiet weekend.

Brooklynn and I took the dog out for a walk and we had so much fun together!!!
She enjoyed having all my attention just for herself.
It was just great with my little girl spending time together!!

And look at this photo's....isn't she adorable??? :):):):):)
I'm so proud of her, well I'm proud of both my girls, they are getting big way to fast!!!!

Extra time for the first challenge....

If you make a LO for the first challenge and you'll enter it after tomorrow, midnight but before the second challenge is up and running you will receive 5 points!!!

Scrappy Times Competition!!!

Hi scrappy friends!!!

Do we have something fun in store for you over at Scrappy Times, I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!
We are having a competition this month and it will be all about our June's Artist of the Month!!!
I didn't reveald her yet but you can find out who we've chosen in a few, first things first!

This is how the competition will look like and what you'll have to do to win!!!

Every Designer will come up with a challenge related to our Artist of the Month.
You will have to stop by here on a regulare base to find out if there's a new challenge posted for he competition.
When there's a new challenge for the competition is posted you will have 48 hours to enter your submission.
If you turn in your LO within 24 hours you will receive 25 points.
If you turn in your LO within 48 hours you will receive 15 points.
There will be 10 more bonus points for the LO our Designers like most!!

We have 5 Scrappy Times Designers, so there will be 5 challenges, the comeptition ends 48 hours after the fifth challenge that's posted!!!

So if you are up to this, keep a very close eye on the boards and have FUN!!!!!!!

Today was fun!!!

Today we've spend our day in an amusement/theme park called 'De Efteling'.
Because i't's thursday and no holliday it was a nice day with not all that much people and no long waithing lines.
The weather was nice too, we starte with a bit of rain, but that lasted just a few minutes.
After that the sun started shining, but thankfully it wasn't to warm!

The girls enjoyed everything about our day and so did Jeremy and me.
We bought a pass for the whole season so we can go there any time we like this summer!
Because Jeremy and I both started a new job this year we don't go on a vacation so this is a great way to spend our day's off!

A perfect day and the new ST DT!!!

We have had a wonderful weekend!!!
The weather was great so we took the kids out for a walk and picknic in the woods.
We live in an apartment and when you look outside my window you can see the forest, it's practically our backyard!

The open spot you can see on the pic is the place where we sat down for our picknic.
What you can't see when you're looking out of the window is this, I never knew it was there!!!
It's perfect over there, there is no one passing by, I don't think a lot of people know that this place exists!!
I mean, I live here for allmost my entire life and as a kid we've alway's played in the woods and never saw this!!




Well it was just perfect and we had a great time.
We really needed a day like this!!
The kids enjoyed playing there and didn't want to go home!!




Yesterday I've also announced Scrappy Times newest Designers!!!
May was all about the search for new Designers and we've found 4 new one's:

** Jenessa
** LeAnne
** Michelle
** Rifi (Hannke)

They have allready started sharing thoughts of what to offer our members.
I'm sure we will come up whit a lot of new, fun stuff so come and join us!!
