Last month after thinking this trough for a long time, the Scrappy Times Designers and I decided to close down our forum!
We all have so much going on in our live's and the forum was taking to much time for most of us.
We didn't want to say goodbye completly to our members, so we decided to keep our blog for challenges!!

Later today you can find our first Blog only challenge, the forum will still be open for a few more weeks, so all members will know about the switch from forum to blog!

Soon we will start a Designer Hunt, we want to add 2 new Designers to the team.
Keep an eye on the Blog to find out more soon!!!

I want to thank all our members for a wonderfull time at the forum and I hope you will all join us at the blog and play along.
Even if you don't play with us leave us a comment every now and than!

A Single Mom!!

Hi everyone,

Remember me????
It's been a while since my last post.
Gone trough a lot also since my last post.
Your reading a single mom's post right now, yes Jeremy and I broke up a few months ago.
The beginning was hard, real hard, but the girls and I are finally used to being with just the three of us.
And when they are happy, I'm happy too.

And if the break up wasn't enough, my mom got sick.
She was diagnosed with breastcancer.
A few week's ago she had her surgery, a week later the doctors told her a mistake was made.
The breasttissue that they removed from her breast was examined by a pathologist, but he didn't found a tumor in it.
There are three options:
1. they give her a wrong diagnose
2. they didn't take out the tumor
3. the pathalogist wasn't paying much attention when he examined the breasttissue they removed during surgery where the tumor must be in.

Monday my mom has a new appointment with the surgeon and then we will know what happend.

During all this I needed a break from scrapping.
I just could'nt find the energy to do anything scrapbook related.
Didn't blog, not even had energy left to visit my Scrappy Times forum.
But I'm slowely making my come back to the scrapbookers world, because after all that's the place I love soooo much!!!

This weekend was great!!!
My father was celebrating his 60th birthday, at Scrappy Times we had our Birthday Crop, so lot's of scrapping and fun times with family and friends!!
What do a person wants more??

I took a lot of photo's of my fathers birthday party, finally I have some picture's of my younghest cousin and my aunt who lived in England for a long time and recently moved back to the Netherlands.

Today is our second day of our Scrappy Times Online Birthday Crop Contest.

This weekend we are celebrating Scrappy Times it's first birthday!!!
We are having an Online Birthday Crop Challenge!!
You can earn points for every challenge you make and at the end of the weekend the three members with most points will winn a RAK and a title!!

Twilight

Probably I'm the last one who started reading the Twilight Saga.
That I didn't untill last week was because I was to stubborn before.
I was like "Everybody is reading it, so that's why I'm not".
But than a friend gave me her books for me to read because I wasn't feeling well last week and now I'm hooked and feel like a fool that I didn't read them right a way.
I read the three books within 5 day's, just couldn't put them down.
I read the books in Dutch and I just can't waith for the Dutch version of Breaking Dawn that will be here in April.
So I decided to buy the whole saga in English, well ask them for Sinterklaas (st Nicholas) so I don't have to think of something to ask Jeremy's parents, since they alway's buy us presents too and i never knwo what to ask!

After reading the books, I can't waith to go to the movies also.
It is just about two weeks from now that they are having a New Moon evening in the cinema, it will be perfect because before they start with New Moon you can watch Twilight also.
And I have never seen the movie either, so I can't waith!!

O and I also read the partial draft if Midnight Sun that Stephenie Meyer has on her website.
It's amazing to read Twilight trough Edward's eye's, it's to bad it's only a partial draft and it probably never become a book.

Mini Challenge and more!!!

Hi all, can you believe it's november allready???
Well it's going to be a fun scrappy month over at Scrappy Times!!
This month we will have a 'Book Of Me' challenge every sunday starting today.
The challenge will be just for the fun of scrapping and we will share some technique's with you also!
Fisrt BOM challenge will be up and running tonight!!!!

November 14th and 15th we are celebrating our first birthday at Srappy Times with a wonderful "Online Birthday Crop Contest".
After the weekend we will crown three winning contestants with a title!!

3th place: Scrapbook Queen
2nd place: Crop Queen
1st place: Supreme Queen

The three winners will also receive a RAK, donated by Urban Scrappers!!!
It's all about making a mini with a cardboard cover, distressing, stitching and black & white pic's!!!

I just realized that I never shared my newest layouts with you guy's!!!
Last week I've made five new one's, but I can only show you three of them.
The two LO's I can't show you yet are for one of the challenges we have during the Scrappy Times Online Birthday Crop!!

I posted my "Best Thing" LO before but not with a very great pic, so I've made a better one today!!

This is a LO I've made for my submission for the Let's Capture These Sketches DT call.
The journaling is in Dutch and it say's:
"You enjoy posing for the camera. You alway's say that you want to pose like a real model..... a TopModel!!"

"Voetbal vind ik leuk (I like Soccer)"
This Lo I've made with the same sketch as I used for the "Just Like a real Model" LO.
This journaling is also in Dutch and it say's:
"Together with my dad and granddad watch a soccer game is fun. Eating chips and drinking AA on the sideline's of the soccerfield"

Last thursday was FUN!!!!!!

My brother and I don't spend as much time together as I would like to.
And especially for our kids it isn't fun, because they love to play with each other.
But last Thursdsay when he was free from work we took our kids to an inside playground.
The kids had a blast together, they couldn't stop laughing untill they got tired!!

My brothers younghest son is my godson and it was so much fun finally have so much time with him and my other nephew!!!

It's such a cutie!!!
He had so much fun with all those colorfull balls!!!

It was a hard job taking a photo of my nephew Thijs.
He don't like to pose for the camera, he don't like camera's at all.
But thankfully I was able to take some picture's of him!!!

And the girls were so happy too.
It was great to see them this happy!!!!

And offcourse mommy and uncle Ronald had a great time playing with the kids too!!! :):):)

Scrapping the Music

This evening I was hopping from blog to blog to see what's happening in blogland.
As I was hopping I came across the challenge blog Scrapping The Music!
I really like that blog, but to be honest never found the time to enter a LO for one of there challenges on time.
So today I finally made a LO and I'm still on time to submit, I'm still a bit late, but on time!!!

This week the song is "You are the best thing".
I heard it tonight for the very first time and well, I like it a lot!!!

This is how my LO for this challenge turnd out!!
The journaling is in Dutch, it say's:
'To be your mom is the best thing. You give me so much love, never new that it was possible.'

The pic is not all that great because of the bad light, will make a new pic in the morning when there's is sunlight again!

Jeremy came home early today and brought me a present!!!
I was alway's complaining about my printer and that it wasn;t working like it should be so he bought me a new one!!!
It's a Canon Pixma MP620 and I looooooooooove this one.
I printed out a few photo's and they look amazing!!!!
So I'm a very happy lady right now!!

October 25th I will be hosting my first challenge as a DT member at Urban Scrappers!!
So this weekend when the girls were a sleep in my bed, I did a bit of scrapping.
My scrap desk is in my bedroom, so when i was scrapping I kept an eye on the girls. (Untill yesterday I never was happy with my desk in the bedroom).
And so I made my project for Urban Scrappers yesterday.
I'm pretty happy with the result, but because I can't show you everything yet here's a little sneak peek!!

Today Chelsey is doing much better, Brooklynn still got a high fever and not feeling well at all.
It isn't getting worse so that's positive.
Tonight they are sleeping in there own bed again and hopefully I will get a good night sleep too!!

My girls are sick!!

No they are not just sleeping, they are sick :(:(:(:(
They are both having a very high fever, Brooklynn(the younghest) even more than her big sis.
Early this evening we took her to the doctor because her fever was rising very fast and you can tell she was in pain.
It turne out she is having an infection in her lungs and the doctor gave us antibiotics!
The next 24 to 48 hours we have to keep a close eye to her, because the infection can turn into a pneumonia.

Chelsey is having a real bad cold and a fever, but thankfully not as bad as Brooklynn.
But we have to keep an eye on her also, because it can get worse too

So now they are sleeping in my bed, so I can keep an eye on them and Jeremy is sleeping in one of the girls bed.
It's past midnight right now and I just can't sleep.
I'm just to worried!!!

I´m am so proud to be there mom!!!
Before I became a mom I alway´s was dreaming about how it would be.
Well I never could have dreamed it would be like this, never knew you could feel so much love.
And feel so loved!!!

After Chelsey having a meningites and the luck she had that it was caused by a virus, I feel even more blessed with my two little girls!!

This photo was made last Sunday, we had such a nice day and the girls were so sweet.
And finally I was able to make a pretty photo of the two off them together.
Most times tehre´s alway´s one of them goofing around when I´m trying to make pics of them together!
Well they are alway´s goofing around when I´m taking pictures!!

I told you about our Halloween/Fall challenge at Scrappy Times in my last post, but didn't uploaded my LO!!!
It's my very first halloween LO, so offcourse I want to show it to you all because I really want your honest opinion about it!!!

It's about the birth of my younghest daughter, she is born at Halloween!!

Hospital album finished!

I was working on an album for Chelsey, from when she was in the hospital.
For me making this album was finishing up this horrible chapter of our life's.
We were so lucky that the meningites was a viral meningites and Chelsey was out of the hospital after three day's, it still had a huge impact to our life's.

Scrappy weekend and some more!!!

This weekend I registerd for the SISiversary Online over at SIStv.
Every hour another challenge or game from friday till saturday an lot's of technique tutorials and classes!!!
I had so much fun when I started this, I just love hte challenges they posted.
For the first time in months I was scrapping like a mad woman :):):):)
So far I've made a card, a LO, a Mini and Jump started with my dd's birthday invitations for her Halloween party (At Halloween it's her birthday).

But than this afternoon my scrapping fun was over.
Jeremy the kids and I were goofing around and I ended up at the ER.
My right arm terribly bruised and now in a bandage.
It's hurts like craaaazy!!!
And I can't scrap now because I'm right handed.....so this is such a bummer for me!!!
Even typing isn't going that well with my left hand!!

They told me that tomorrow the pain will be at it's worst and than it must go better bit by bit!
So I'll hope for the better and we'll see when I will be scrapping again!!!

I've been such a bad blogger lately!!!

Not even one post in august.....I'm such a bad blogger!!!!

Well august wasn't such a great month for me.
When Chelsey came out of the hospital we all were so happy, but after a week or so I have had a breakdown.
Every second of the day I was worried about Chelsey, checked her temperature 10 time a day!!
I was affraid she was getting sick all over again every day.

Like some of you know I was having a PPD after Brooklynn was born and after Chelsey's meningites I have had some kind of a relapse.
Now after six weeks Chelsey is still doing allright and I'm feeling better also.
Last week we've been on a vacation with the four of us and we've had the best time ever!!!

Pic's of our vacation will follow, I have them on another computer.
One without a connection to the internet, so I'll nee to transfer them to my labtop to show you all!!!

What I can show you is page I've made for our newest challenge at Scrappy Times.

Meningites

Finally I have the time and energy to sit down and talk a bit to you.
I wasn't around for a while, it feels like more than a decade to me.
I'm struggling with my health and some day's all things are going well and other day's I can'get out of bed.
And than past week suddenly my 3yo wasn't feeling all that well.

July 18th & 19th
Chelsey isn;t feeling all that well and she don't want to do a thing, just wants o watch tv on our bed.

July 20th
The girls are going to there grandparents.
Chelsey don't want to eat or drink much.
In the afternoon she's running a fever.

July 21st
Chelsey is doing allright again, the fever is gone.
The girls and I are going out to the childrens farm to see the new born goats.
On tuesday's she was doing allright again, but she looked tired to me.
She was looking a bit tired to me so I put her to bed early.

July 22nd
Chelsey wakes up when Jeremy is going out to work, she's having a fever again and she passes out for a moment.

Jeremy put her down next to me and she falls back a sleep right away.
Around 7.00 she wakes up again and can't get up, she's shaking all over her little body and the fever is rising.
A half hour later she isn't responding anymore so I'm taking her to the doctor, she send her straight to the hospital.
After examin her they think she's a bit dehydrated and they are wanting to keep her in the hospital for a day, just to see how she's doing.

When we are settling in to her room things get worse and after a few hours they want to do a spinal marrow punction because they suspects that she's having meningitis.
The results come back within the hour and she's having meningitis.
We are shoked and I really was afraid when they told us, she was so sick at that time.
Right after the results came back they gave her a drip wih anibiotics and fluids.
One of us can stay in the hospital with her that night, so we decides that I'm going to stay with her.

July 23th
After waking up the next morning I just can't believe my eye's.
Chelsey is doing so much better, the fever is allmost gone and she is all awake again.
The paediatrician is stopping by and he say's that we are very lucky, Chelsey was diagnosed in such an early stage of meningites and she is responding very well to the antibiotis and fluid.

July 24th
After three day's in the hospital the final results of the spinal marrow punction come back and the pathogens (do I say it right in English like this?) was a virus, a mild virus and so she doesn't need antibiotics anymore and we can take her home early this evening.
We are sooooo happy!!

I'm so thankfull for the early diagnose, I know things could have ended so much more worse!!

Right now she's doing sooooo much better, she's still having a headache and she's a bit dizzy sometimes.
Now she can start processing this all, just like Jeremy and I.
In just afew day's things went from allright to worse and back to allright again.
And if I think about how things could have been, I'm full of gratefulness!

Just did my confession on the Scrappy Times Forum about my mojo!
It seemd I've lost it along the way, I haven't scrapped since the Scrappy Times Cybercrop and we had the crop right after easter!
So you can imagine I feel terribly lost now!!

I reorganized my stuff, that didn't help, I sat down and stare for hours to my pretty papers, embellies, tools, photo, everything, but it didn't brought me my mojo back!
So now I call up to you...: Have you seen my mojo???? If so leave me a comment and I will contact you to let you know where to send it to!!!!!

Brooklynn and me

Yesterday it was just Brooklynn and me in the afternoon and we had such a great time!!!
Jeremy took our oldest one to the amusement park and Brooklynn and I stayed at home.
I'm so tired lately and I wanted a nice and quiet weekend.

Brooklynn and I took the dog out for a walk and we had so much fun together!!!
She enjoyed having all my attention just for herself.
It was just great with my little girl spending time together!!

I'm so proud of her, well I'm proud of both my girls, they are getting big way to fast!!!!

Hi scrappy friends!!!

Do we have something fun in store for you over at Scrappy Times, I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!
We are having a competition this month and it will be all about our June's Artist of the Month!!!
I didn't reveald her yet but you can find out who we've chosen in a few, first things first!

This is how the competition will look like and what you'll have to do to win!!!

Every Designer will come up with a challenge related to our Artist of the Month.
You will have to stop by here on a regulare base to find out if there's a new challenge posted for he competition.
When there's a new challenge for the competition is posted you will have 48 hours to enter your submission.
If you turn in your LO within 24 hours you will receive 25 points.
If you turn in your LO within 48 hours you will receive 15 points.
There will be 10 more bonus points for the LO our Designers like most!!

We have 5 Scrappy Times Designers, so there will be 5 challenges, the comeptition ends 48 hours after the fifth challenge that's posted!!!

So if you are up to this, keep a very close eye on the boards and have FUN!!!!!!!

Today was fun!!!

Today we've spend our day in an amusement/theme park called 'De Efteling'.
Because i't's thursday and no holliday it was a nice day with not all that much people and no long waithing lines.
The weather was nice too, we starte with a bit of rain, but that lasted just a few minutes.
After that the sun started shining, but thankfully it wasn't to warm!

The girls enjoyed everything about our day and so did Jeremy and me.
We bought a pass for the whole season so we can go there any time we like this summer!
Because Jeremy and I both started a new job this year we don't go on a vacation so this is a great way to spend our day's off!

We have had a wonderful weekend!!!
The weather was great so we took the kids out for a walk and picknic in the woods.
We live in an apartment and when you look outside my window you can see the forest, it's practically our backyard!

This is a pic of our view so you can see what I mean:

The open spot you can see on the pic is the place where we sat down for our picknic.
What you can't see when you're looking out of the window is this, I never knew it was there!!!
It's perfect over there, there is no one passing by, I don't think a lot of people know that this place exists!!
I mean, I live here for allmost my entire life and as a kid we've alway's played in the woods and never saw this!!

Well it was just perfect and we had a great time.
We really needed a day like this!!
The kids enjoyed playing there and didn't want to go home!!

Yesterday I've also announced Scrappy Times newest Designers!!!
May was all about the search for new Designers and we've found 4 new one's:

** Jenessa
** LeAnne
** Michelle
** Rifi (Hannke)

They have allready started sharing thoughts of what to offer our members.
I'm sure we will come up whit a lot of new, fun stuff so come and join us!!

Hi all,

I don't know if you missed me, but I was MIA for a while!!
A lot of things happend over here and I just didn't feel like scrapping, blogging or participate on any forum (not even my own forum Scrappy Times)
Well things are doing better right now and this weekend I will get my scrapping space organized again and sit down and start scrapping again!!!
I will also reveal our brand new Scrappy Times Design Team this weekend!

Well I have taken a lot of pics this month, so enough scrapping to do.
I just can't waith to start.

Everyone I know is really upset about what happend here at Queensday in Apeldoorn yesterday.
They attack on our royalty's cost the life of five innocent people.
The man who did it died last night.
I didn't sleep a lot last night thinking about the people who suffer so much right now and I feel blessed that no one of my family was there and that they are allright.

What is happening all over the world, there are so many acts of violence against innocent people.
I feel so sad about what going on all around the world!

I have also some funner news.
We are on the search for three new DT members at Scrappy Times!!!
And to find those three new members today will start a three week competition!!!

So shocked!!!

Today it's a national holliday for us over here in Holland.
On april 30th we celebrate Queensday, the birthday of our queen.
It's alway's a fun day and our queen and her family is visiting a town every year.
This year the day ended to soon.
Someone drove his car into the crowed that was watching the queen and wanted to hit the bus where the royal family was in.
He killed 4 people and there are 13 others injured.
Jeremy and me were looking to the festivity's on tv and saw it all live.
It was such a schocking thing to see, I just can't explain!!
I'm still shocked.

.....Zaza and Zoe, our two new family members!!
I really thought we had to waith for a few more weeks to bring them home to us, well bring one bunny home, but today I've heard we didn't had to waith anymore.
So we went to get our bunny and we came home with two bunny's!!
I just fell in love with these two sisters and we took them both home with us!!
They are sooooooo sweet!!!!!

A day at the campingsite

My parents, aunt and uncle spend most of there time during spring and summer on a campingsite.
My girls looooove to go and visit them and so when there daddy is having a soccer game and the weather is fine we go!!
Last saturday we were there to and it was nice to see them play!!
Chelsey was feeling better from having chicken-pox and was full of energy again and wanted to go to the campingsite lake.
Brooklynn loved playing in the sand and she loooooooooooved the slide!!
Our little dog Clifford joined us too, it was his first time at the campingsite and he had a wonderful time also!!

Jeremy called me a few minutes ago, his arm is in a cast (do you call it like this??)
He broke his thumb at work!!!
Can you believe this, everytime one of us is better another one turns sick or is hurting something!!!!

Well I have some other news too, we are going to expand our family!!!
With in a few weeks a new addition to family will arrive......a beautiful bunny is comming to live with us!!!!!
I can't waith untill the little one is big enough to come and live with us!!!
As soon as I have a decent photo i will offcourse show it to you all!!!!

So, this is it for today, I'm about to visit my cousin in a bit!!!!

This LO is also a LO for one of the challenges that were on last weekend at the Scrappy Times crop.
I still have to finish up a few more, just haven't had enough time!!!

I'm also trying to learn more about art journaling.
I have found some interesting vid's on youtube.com about art journaling.
These video's are so inspirational, I'm totally amazed about it!!
I'm thinking of following some workshops, but I'll have to waith with that untill my budget allow's it LOL:):):)
Untill than I will find some inspiration trough the vid's and blogs!!!

I think my Chelsey-Anne (my 3yo) has got chicken-pox!!
It sure looks like the beginning of it, so we'll have to waith and see what happens.
She isn't feeling sick or anything and I'm hoping it will stay like that!

I had soooooo much fun during the crop over at Scrappy Times.
It was a wonderful weekend and we're goign to do this again for sure soon!!

Yesterday we had a fun day, it was my nephew's 2nd birthday!!!
My borther and his wife made it a wondeful day for Thijs.
He had so much fun playing with my little girls and his other cousins!!
We all enjoyed the day, just by watching them having so much fun!!

I make soooooo many pictures, I can hardly believe it!!
Last couple of day's I finally got them organized on my labtop!!
It took me a lot of hours, but now I can find them a lot easier when I want to scrap them!!

Children's farm

Last sunday the weather was wonderfull over here and the girls and I went to the children's farm!!
They had a blast, they both love animals and especially the little goats and bunny's.
I took al lot of pictures so I have some scrapping to do!!!

I haven't done some scrapbooking last week and know I think it's time to sit down and take some time to scrap again.
So tonight when the kids are to bed I hope I'll get some scrapping done, Jeremy isn't home so I have all time to myself!!!

I'm happy to tell you that Brooklynn is doing soooooooo much better!!!!
She's still having a bad cough, but that's it!!!
It's so good to see her all happy again, playing, smiling, just great!!!

He passed away when my mom was 14 years old.
I've made this page in the same style as the LO of my grandmother.
I want to do a LO in this style for all my grandparents.

Brooklynn is still sick, but doing better each day.
There is no blood mixed up with her tears anymore, so that's a relieve!!
She still sleeps a lot, but when she's a wake she want's to play a bit, so that's a good sign!!

I think the virus is bugging Chelsey and me a bit too, we both are having a cold and a sore throat, but thankfully nothing more than that!

Tonight for the first time this week I did some scrapping.
I scrapped a pic of my grandmother, my fathers mom.
I never got to know her, she passed away when my father was only five years old.
My aunt was 6 monyhs old.
We've only have just a few photo's of her and this is the most beautiful one.

Brooklynn's eye's are much better today.
Today we've only had to clean her eye's three times.
There was still a tiny bit of blood, but not as much as past day's, so that's positive!!!
She is having a fever and she's having the flu because of the virus.
So she isn't completly better but we are so glad her eye's are less painfull.
Hopefully she's all better soon, but for now I hope she will sleep trough the night because I can use some good night sleep too!
Past day's were stressfull, I was so freaked out about her eye's and now all I want to do is get some sleep!
So I'm off to bed early tonight!!!

And thank you for keeping Brooklynn in your tought's and the sweet messages I received over here and at the forum, they mean the world to me!!!

Brooklynn's eye's (update)

So this is how my little girls eye's looked this morning, her right eye is the one that's most worse.
Today it was allmost to painfull for her to clean her eye's and give her some drops, so in the afternoon her eye's looked much worse again.
Every time when I clean her eye or when she's crying there is some blood mixed up in her tears, so heartbreaking to see.
She's feeling terrible and she cry's a lot and there is nothing I can do for her.
The only thing I can do is cleaning her eye's and that means I have to hurt her.
Don't like that at all!!
Right now she's finally sleeping and I'm hoping she will untill the morning because she's exhausted!!

...today it is!!!

My little one is having a really bad eye infection.
She is having it for a couple of day's now, but it's getting worse and worse.
This afternoon there was blood mixed up with tears comming from her eye's and it scared the hey out of me!
The doctor say's that this is probably the beginning of a real bad cold or something like the flu caused by a virus.
For now she gave us some eye drops to eas the pain a bit, because she is having a LOT of pain right now.

I feel misserable, it's so hard to see her in so much pain.
Some moments she just can't open her eye's.
After giving her the eye drops, she is doing better for a couple of hours, thank god!

Well I'm of now, it's time to clean her eye's again and give her the drops and than hopefully she will get some sleep.

What a day!!!

This morning was a good one.
All the parents were invited to come and see what the kids do when they are at the pre school playgroup.
It was so fun to see how they all play together and it was nice to meet some of the other mom's and children.
Chelsey loved it too that me and her little sister came to see her at her group!!

Brooklynn had a lot of fun too in her sisters group, she didn't want to leave.
Unfortunatly for her she still have to waith for a year or so to go to the pre-school playgroup.
I don't mind that she still have to waith for a year, time is allready going way to fast!

Well after all that fun I brought the kids to my mom and had to go to work.
After work I picked up the girls and we walked home (my parents live just around the corner from where we live).
We also walked the dog and the girls played a bit.
When it was time to really go inside Chelsey didnt want to listen and just walked away from me!!
And in just a few seconds she was gone and I just couldn't see her anymore, there I stand, with my one year old holding my hand, our dog and a couple of bags.
I just didn't knew what to do, I wanted to ran after her, but than I had to let go of Brooklynn.
The only thing I was feeling was total panic!!
And let me tell you, I was angree too, there was a neighbour just beside me that saw the whole thing and didn't did a thing!!!
After I dropped my bags, picked up Brooklynn I started running in the direction Chelsey was going and thank god I saw her around the corner.
She was crying started running towards me when she saw me.

I'm still felling misserable about it and soooooo happy she's safe a sleep in her bed right now.

Bind it All!!

Yesterday there was card making/scrapbooking event.
At first I planned to go together with Chelsey, she love's scrapbooking stuff and there were supposed to be workshops for kids.
Than my mom wanted to come along with me so Brooklynn joined us too.
Brooklynn was sleeping in the stroller for most of the time and Chelsey had the best time ever.
A lot of the ladies that had a booth stand gave her a lot of attention and some even gave her some free stuff.
Well you can imagine how excited she was!!

My mom bought all kinds off stuff for card making for the very first time.
She had never make any card before, she alway's told me that she isn't creative at all!!
Yesterday, after comming home, she started right away with some cards.
I'm so proud of her hehe :):):)
And it's nice to see that we've finally have something in common.

And I bought some stuff als, a few stamps, some ink, some sassafrass..............and the Bind it All!!!!!
I'm soooooo happy Ive finally 'bought one!!!
So tonight I'm going to play a little with my new toy!!

A Canvas

Hi there, here I am again, but there's a little difference from last time I've posted...I'm a year older now, celebrated my birthday last Saturday.
It was a great day with my family and friends.
Next year I will be 30!!!

Did some scrapping too, made another canvas!!
I like making those.
Since I'm all into acrylic paint lately, I have used it again on this one.
And I looove my stamp that I've used, going to use it a lot more, if I don't forget that I have it again!!

A while ago Michelle sent me a RAK with a mini album in it.
The mini was supposed to say 'Thank You', but I thought it was just perfect for some Carnaval pic's.

SIStv launched 'The Agency' this week.
It's a new, awesome resource for the one's that wants to get pubbed!
They also have a contest, 'The SIStv Style Star Search' and it's all about 'spring Green' this time.
This is the LO I've made for this contest, I love the combination of green and pink, bright colors and spring.
The pics of the girls on this page are made last week when we had a terrific spring day.
The sun was shining, it wasn't really cold and the girls had the best mood ever!!!

So I'm back online again!!!
My whole family, myself included were sick last couple of day's!
The girls needed me, Jeremy needed me and in between of taking care of them I was sleepin and feeling terrible!!

Everyone is feeling a lot better now, Jeremy is back to work, Chelsey is to her pre-school playgroup this afternoon and Brooklynn is taking a nap!
So finally I can update a little over here!!!

Carnival photo's

Tuesday was the last day of the Carnival over here and did we all had a lot of fun!!!!

We spent our day's with the kids and my brother and his family, especially the kids enjoyed there self's sooooo much. It was so much fun to look at them!!!

Last night of the Carnival Jeremy and I went out together, just the two of us. I missed the kids a lot but after a textmessage I knew they were doing just great so I finally enjoyed our evening together!!

Carnival update!!

So far we had soooooooo much fun!!

I ended up with a strawberry suite (still have to make a pic of it) and Jeremy has a prison suit with black and white stripes.

We have two day's left, this afternoon we're going out with the kids to a place called "De Bussel".

That's such a fun place to go to with kids during the carnival.

Yesterday we all went to the carnival parade, the kids were so amazed by all the wonderful parade wagons they saw!
After the parade we joined my brother and his family and some others to go to de Bussel and had a great time.

To see the kids dance and having fun make's me even had more fun!!

So next couple of days I wont be around all that much since Carnaval started over here!!

Five day's of fun, dressing up and partying!!

Chelsey had a little bit of carnaval allready at her pre-school play group.

She was dressed up as Mega Mindy, a girls superhero from a Belgium tv show.

She don't watch the tv sow all that much, but she loooove;s the songs from the show!!

This afternoon we're going to see how our city's Carnaval Prince is arriving, the mayer will give him the city key and than it's time to party for all ages!!

For tonight our kids and ther nephews are going to my parents, Jeremy and I are going out with my brother and his wife!!

I still have to go get a costume, so I'm off now!!!

Wallhanging!!

This month we have a wallhanging tutorial up and running over at the Scrappy Times challenge blog, like I told before.

Tonight I've made the tutorial my self and I had the best of fun making it!!

Julie, your the best.....loved making this one!!!

I used a photo of my grandma, who passed away when I was 8.

After 20 years I can still remember every little thing about my grandma, I miss her every day and everyday I wish she was her to meet my little girls.

I know she would be so proud of them.

This photo is the only one I have from her, and when this one was taken she was allready very ill.

The journaling say's:

"I will never forget you, I loved spending time with you and I will alway's miss you.

And grandma, I don't drink coffee!"

About the coffee: when I was about 4 years old I alway's wanted to drink coffee just like the grown up's and then she tolld me not to, because if I would drink coffee my hear turn green.

I was learned that my grandma alway's was right, so I believed her for many years and now I still don't drink coffee, I just don't like the taste of it.

Miss Hippy Chick

Last couple of days were not all that great!
There are some family issue's that have make me feel sad.
After a phone call with my aunt late last night I'm feeling a lot better, but there are still things that need's to be solved.
They can be solved, that's what I'm sure of.

Well I have some happy news too I can say!!
Yesterday I've got the news that I made it to Sarah's page DT (there is a card DT also) check it out: Miss Hippy Chick
This is going to be so much fun, there will be sketches for pages and cards to be found!!

Last year we went to the dutch themepark 'De Efteling'.

The four of us together with Jeremy's dad.

The girls had a lot of fun, Chelsey loved everything and it was Brookynn's first time in the park and she was amazed by all of it!

I've made so many pic's it was hard to pick a couple for the album.

For this album I used my laminater machine, I love using that machine for mini's!!!

Going to us it a lot more, one of the best Christmas presents of last year!!

Tonight when I've got home I joined an online crop at Making Memories For You for a couple of hours!!

I had soooo much fun working on the Make & Take!!

I've used photo's of Chelsey in the mini we were making.

The pictures were taken the night before her 3th birthday.

With Chelsey you'll never know if she's willing to have her picture taken.

I'm on a roll here, last three day's finished a LO in the evening hours!!

This is a LO made for challenges at Pencil Lines (used there sketch) and the BOM/Color Combo at Making Memories For You.

The girls are alway's having fun together, the both of them, having them, raising them and see them grow up is the biggest milestone in my life.

Than about Scrappy Times, we are on the search every month for a 'new 'Member of the Month' and the new Member of the Month will become our Guest Designer for the month after that!! Tonight I came across a challenge at the Dreamgirls Challenge Blog and there latest challenge is called "Clearly Yours".

It's all about scrapping on a transparent background, the word "You" and journaling on your photo.

I have never scrapped on a transperancy so I had to this and om my gosh, I had sooooo much fun doing it!!

The beginning was a little bit difficult but after a few minutes the page put it self together!!

The journaling on the pics is in Dutch and it sais:

A couple of weeks ago I recived an e-mail from Ready Set Create

with the announcement that they wanting to use one of my layout's.

I just couldn't believe it, so I didnt told anyone about it besides my family.

So today again an e-mail, this time with the Ready Set Create feb/march issue attached to it and guess what.................I am published!!!!!

My layout is there for everyone to see, how cool is that!!!!!

A little tutorial with a RAK!!

A little while ago I was going trough some video's at YouTube and came across a simple and fast way to put a mini together and I just want to share it with you.

Since I can't find the specific video anymore so I can't give proper credits, so if anyone recognize it please let me know.

And since i don't have a link to share with you, I've made some pictures while I was making that instand mini!

Well about that RAK, if you make the mini please link it up in a comment post to make a change winning it!

So here we go:

* All you need is one piece of 12x12 (patterned) paper.

Lay it on your desk with the pattern face down.

* Fold it in half and open it up again and again place it with the pattern face down.

* Fold it again, the other way around.

* Keep it folded like that and fold it in half again.

* Open it up one (1) time and keep the crease on your right.

There's a crease in the middle too, cut that crease from the right to the middle.

* Open it all up and fold it again like you can see on the pic below.

* Take both ends and push them together like you can see on the pic below

* Than fold it so you'll get a book, like this:

Here are some pic's of one that I've completed.

When you fold the mini like this you will have some pages that are open on the sides, I've used some double sided tape to close them up and left the spaces on the upper side open to put some tags for journaling in it:

Next monday I will start a personal challenge.
I want to lose some weight.
I'm not all that heavy and dont have a lot off over weight, but I just don't feel all that healthy, so I've decided to turn that all around and going to start with a healthier life style.

Over here in the Netherlands we have a person who became famous with her books for weight loss and have better habbits for eating (do I make any sence in English LOL)
Today in the mail I've received one of her books that I've orderd and I want to start on monday, because her program starts on a monday!

I can't waith to start, I feel so motivated!!!

Another store closing

It's not going well with the Dutch scrapbook stores.

Another one is closing, one of my favorites.

The only Dutch store that sells the SIStv Life & Style collections.

So that's a bummer, cause I was planning to order those every once in a while when my scrapping budget was allowing it.

Did some scrapping today, I received the second album from the Lotus Paperie CJ.

Made the this two pages for the album.

I've had to scrap about I place were I want to go back to.

For me that's 'Duinrell' a family vacation park at Wassenaar.

There we spend our very first vacation as a family together, Chelsey was 1 year old and I was 2 months pregnant of Brooklynn.

I want to go back there now we are with the four of us, after that vacation we didn't had a vacation anymore.

Not so happy monday!!

After this great weekend I'm now not feeling well!!

I'm in bed as we speek, with my labtop catching up on some stuff.

I know I'm an internet addict, have to keep updated about all scrappy stuff that's happening!!

Past saturday it was my my oldest her 3th birtday!!

She had a wonderfull day and was spoild, you can't imagine!

She looooved her non-alcohol kids champagne, well I guess she loved it that she was alloud to drink it from a wineglass :):):)

Yesterday we went outside to play with the snow that was still here.

Today the snow is slowly melting away.

The girls are all sad about it, they loved the snow to play in.

Yesterday after diner I wasn't feeling well and a few hours later I was at the doctors and they gave me some painkillers.

Today I went to see my own doctor and she gave me some other's and now I'll have to waith to see if they work.

So now I'm in bed hoping the pain will go away soon......I hate monday!!!

Red Oak Lines

Do I have some awesome news!!
By now you all know I have a forum up and running, Scrappy Times.
From now on we are going to work together with Red Oak Lines, an Etsy store with some real cute stuff!!
Red Oak Lines will be the sponsor of our february challenge and also is going to give our DT some goodies to work with!!
I can tell you how happy I am with this!!

Today we went to Ikea and bought a new sofa!!!!
Tomorrow we are going to pick it up, can't waith!
Ikea is great, I love to walk around there to get inspired by all the pretty stuff they have!!

We're also very busy with planning our wedding.
I never tought it would be this stressfull.
Because we want a non traditional wedding it's hard to pick a date, it all depent on several factors of the location and when it is available.
Everytime we think we have finally have a date that we like, we can not have it because it's booked allready.
Maybe we have to find some place else, even if it's our second choise.
Well we see, I;m hoping we will have a final date set soon!!!

Fun in the snow!!!

The last couple of day's we have had a lot of fun in the snow.

The girls just love it!!

My parent bought a sleigh for them and they loooooove it, especially Brooklynn.

This afternoon we had so much fun, sleighing and making a snowman!

This week I also made some cards.

Tried some embossing, just got a heattool, so it's all new to me!!

Think it's a great technique and it's awesome to do.

Gives the cards just that little extra!

It's allmost Chelsey's birthday, her 3th!!

She's so excited and she just can not waith untill it's saturday!!

We bougth her a camera, one that's designed for kids to use.

She love's to take pic's with my camera, but that doesn't work all that well.

I can't waith to see her face when she gets her camera!!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy new year to you all!!!
Hope you have had a wonderful night!!!

Our night was just great, we spend it with Jeremy's family and all we did was eat and relax, wonderfull!!
We woke the kids up to watch the fireworks and they loved it!!
Chelsey didn't wanted to go outside, but from out the window she watched the fireworks and she was all amazed!!
Today we also went to my parents and that was great too.

After dinner we came home and the kids went to bed early.
So I finally had time to make some announcements on the Scrappy Times forum and blog.

We have a new challenge and our first Member of the Month is up!!!

Christmas is over....

I had some wonderful day's!!!

The kids are spoiled and so are Jeremy and I!

There is one gift that allmost brought us to tears, it's gorgeous!!!

It's a painting with our girls on it and Dimitri (my brother in law) gave it to us.

Jeremy's parents gave me a laminate machine and I love it.

I've used it allready :):):):):):)

I have made a mini album with it and I'm planning to do much more with it!!

This morning I finished a LO I was working on.
I really didn't had a clue what i was doing with this one and so I'm pretty happy with the result.
The piece of grey cardstock was actually a pink piece, pink didn't work out so i painted grey and decided to add some green to it.
And don't you love that vintage lace?? Well I do so much, i can't work without lace or ribbon anymore.
It's something I have to add to a page, don't know where it's comming from, but it's working for me at the moment!!

This picture was taken last sunday when we were out with the kids to go listen to the christmas story.
offcourse Timo came with us to and he had the biggest fun!!
I can't believe he's three months allready!!!

Today we went ice skating again and again we had sooooooo much fun.
This time Chelsey had her own skates we bought last week.
She was so proud to have her own, she was telling everybody!!
We saw some older kids from school too and Chelsey loved there attention!!

I scrapped a canvas

I've scrapped a few before as a gift and now I've finally made one just for me!!!

I've used some pictures of such a great day we have a little while ago when we went to a theme park.

Last week I did some more scrapping!

I've made a LO for a challenge at the NBKS crop.

The challenge was to make a LO or two cards out of scraps.

I have a ton of scraps so that was a great challenge for me.

I ripped a bunch of scraps and added some flowers and a leftover ribbon and it turned out great.

And then there was St. Nichoals over here and we had so much fun celebrating and we took a lot of pictures.The picture I scrapped is one of my favorites of the evening we spend at my brothers house.

St. Nicholas came over with a lot of presents for the kids!!

Ice skating!!!

We have a ice-rink (I don't know if this is the right word, found it over on a trancelation site)over here!
And that's awesome since it isn't freezing enough to go skating on real ice.
So tonight I took Chelsey-Anne with me to go ice skating for the very first time in her life.
At first she was a little bit scared, but along hte way she more and more enjoyed her it!!

I had the best time too and I can't waith to get back again.
Also it's nice to have some quality time together.
Sometimes she really needs a little attention just for her!!

Also I can't waith for Brooklynn to be old enough to go with us.
The three of us allway's have so much fun together so even though it's great to spend some time alone with Chelsey it's even more fun with the three of us girls together.
Okay, the four of us, daddy can join us too when he's back on his feet hehe :):)

Sketches

Do you like sketches ad much as I do????

Well I love them a lot, I think they are perfect in times when you don't have all that much of inspiration!!

So like not that long a go I've started to make some sketches of my own and it's so much fun to do!!

I'm going to make some more for inspiration and you can find them at Scrappy Times!!

Yesterday...

Jeremy came home yesterday!!
The girls are so happy to have there daddy back home (and so am I)!!
So now tomorrow we can celebrate a late st. Nicholas evening this weekend with the kids.
I'm so excited about it, love to see those faces when they get there pesents!!

Just being busy!!!

Just being busy, that's just what I am!!

I keep myself busy though.

That's the only way for me to get trough this day's when the kids are to bed.

I'm trying to get my forum (Scrappy Times) going, I have 28 members allready, so that's going great!!

The first challenge is allready been done!!

Now there's a tutorial up at the blog of the forum, my first try on something like that!!!

I'm so loving to do this and hoping it turns out just the way I had in mind!!!

I'm hoping I will find a sponsor in the near future so I can organize some bigger challenges and have something for the comming Design Team to work with.

We'll see, first things first!!!

I'm also getting some scrapping done.

I've made a 6x12 page with a couple of photo's of my girls playing in the snow that fell down that one single day over here!!!

Then I did some Christmas decorating in the house and I'm far from ready jet!!

So excited, I loooooooove Christmas, it's making me forget the struggles we went trough this past year!!

I want the decorating finished though when Jeremy comes home from the hospital so that would be thursday we were told today.

Hopefully that's right, because we were told at first that it would be tomorrow.

We'll see, in mean while I have a nice 'to do' list to keep me busy!!

Update!!

So here an update on Jeremy and how he's doing!!
Surgery went well, very well, he's doing so much better.
The pain is allmost gone now, unbelievable.
He was having a serious infection, so his still on antbiotics via a drip for a few more day's.
If everything is oke they think he will be home at wednesday.
So we'll hoping for that offcourse!!

Surgery

This morning they desided that they are going to operate on Jeremy's knee.
In a few hours they are taking him to the OR.
So this means he's not at home this night and we are not going to celebrate 'Sinterklaas' with the kids tonight as we planned.
I'm happy the kids are still young and don't really know what day it is, so we can give them there gifts later!
Pffff I'm a bit tyred, the kids didn't sleep well tonight and I was up from 4 am untill 7 am.
So this is it for now, going to get the girls dressed so they can visit there daddy when he gets back from the OR.

Bad Luck

With our youngest one being sick a lot ,we have a time full of worries.
I't is allmost making me sick too.
And now bad luck strikes us again.
My love is in the hospital, he had an accident at work and he has a wound by his knee.
They let him go home from the ER and a few hours later he was screaming from all the pain he had.
So back to the ER and they admitted him.
They found several blood clots in his leg.
Now it's waiting till tomorrow morning to find out what they are gonna do.
Jeremy was so tyred of the pain so he's a sleep now, it's allmostmidnight over here and I just can't sleep.
I feel terrible and holding my tears down, if I let them go I'm affraid I can't stop.
Well, that's it for today, going to check up on my girls, the younghest one have some trouble sleeping lately because of being sick all the time and i want to know if she's sleeping now.

Christmas project

I wasn't in a Christmas mood jet, but it's comming!!!

Especially when I see all Christmas projects everyone is making!!!

I'm all inspired right now, so I made a Christmas project that was inspired by a wall hanger a sister from SIStv made, Linda Loe.

She has an awesome style that I really love!!

So take a look over at her blog!!!!!

I must say, my Wii is very very very much fun so much fun that I don't even have much time left to scrap.

It's a hard choise for me, play the Wii or go scrapping!!!

Okay so the Wii is new for me now, I'll guess when we have it a little bit longer that I don't play all that much as I do now, so for now I enjoy and get back to scrapping later hehe :):):):)

So I'm gonna join Jeremy in the livingroom again right now to play a game of bowling on our awesome Wii!!!

Yes it's true, I'm still having that little girl in side of me and once in a while she comes out, like now!!!!

Wii

I'm all happy and excited!!

We have a Wii!!

Besides scrapbooking I have an other thing I like and that's gaming.

And now finally we have a Wii and I think it's so awesome, I feel like a little girl again hehe :):):)

Jeremy and I had so much fun last night playing.

And finally I have the pictures on my labtop of my little girls Christening.

It was a wonderful day and we had so much fun with family and friends.

I don't have all the photo's jet.

There were so many people taking pictures!!

So here are a few of them!!!!

This weekend is going to be very busy for me. I'm not even feeling all better, but today we are going to my btother and his family with our kids. "Sinterklaas" is comming to bring the girls and there nephwes some presents. Sinterklaas is for us something like Santa is for you.

Tomorrow we are going to visit Jeremy's parents. Alway's fun, the kids love to go there and see there grandparents and there uncle! So I don't think I have the energy or time to scrap this weekend. Well we'll see.

How do you feel???

Well I'm feeling terrible!!
I'm having a cold and I mean the worse cold ever!!
Then I feel misserable because my wrist still hurts like crazy (I had a little accident last saturday).
Awesome huh....NOT!!!
Hope you are feeling so much better then I do!!

Today it's my brothers birthday, so that's fun though!
We are going to visit him tonight for an hour or two, my girls are gonna love that, they love to play with ther nephews!!

And then there is tomorrow.
I have an appointment to see the doctor to look at my wrist again.
I hope they can do at least something so the pain is minimal, because now it obvious isn't.
Keep you updated about that!!

Then I'm very busy with planning all kinds of stuff to do on my new forum, Scrappy Times.
There is a challenge allready that you can find over at the Scrappy Times Challende Blog.
Now I can't do all much scrapping with my wrist, I'm surfing the internet to find some stuff I can give away as prizes.

Some off you know allready that I was thinking for a while now to open a forum of some kind all about scrapbooking.

Well I did!!!!

SCRAPPY TIMES is the name!!

I so exited about it, you can't imagine!!!

Well I knmow there are sooooo many forums and comunity's in this Scrappy world, still I will give it a try to make this work.

Hopefully you will join me so we can have lots of fun.

The inspiration of this kind of forum I found at Never Been Kissed Scrappers.

So it's all new and I started it this today since I can't do that much now I have my wrist brused over the weekend.

I hope you will going to take a look and I'm hoping even more you'll come back some more and make this work.

Christmas Candy / Cookie Bag

Yesterday I made a project from another workshop at Bad Girls.

It was a workshop for making Candy/Cookie Bags.

I had so much fun maing this bag!!

I submitted to a DT Call at YMBD, unfortunatly I didn´t make it to the team.

They choosen four other very talented girls!

Congrats to them!!!!

Christmas mittens!!

I have finally finished the first workshop over at Bad Girls.

Last day's I was busy with work since I have some new clients and yesterday I read a wonderful book of a real life story of a girl that was totally under the spell of some so called 'Loverboy's'.

I started and finished the book yesterday without taking a break.

Sooooo now I'm catching up with my scrapworks....yeay!!!!

And first I finished my Christmas mittens!!!!

I'm off now, to get some more scrappie stuff done tonight!!!!

Balloon Fiesta!

A few months ago, we visited the balloon fiesta over here and had a great time.

I took so many pictures and it was about time to scrap a few off them.

Only I didn't really know what I wanted to do with them, until yesterday when I took a look at the Lotus Paperie.

Challenge #98 is up and when I saw the sketch I new that it was perfect for my balloon photo's.

Again this page came together really fast.

The painting job is were I spent the most time at.

And again I'm really happy with the outcome of this page, I must do fast pages more often :):):):)LOL!!!

So, I'm off, have a lot of stuff to do before the Christening tomorrow of my little DD!!
